Maryam's Soap Nook
I was fortunate enough to recieve a VIP Gift Bag of Goodies from Maryam's Soap Nook to review for you, and I have to say that I am throughly delighted with all of the products that I've tried so far.
Presentation and Packaging
Maryam's products were presented beautifully in a clear drawsting plastic bag with sheer gray fabric across the top.
And to make my bath experience even more fun she included a cute little rubber duckie with a red scarf on. She must have known that I've been collecting mini rubber duckies for the hot tub :-).
Maryam's Whipped Shea Monoi Body Butter was packaged in a clear recyclable jar with a black top, and the Shea Butter & Dead Sea Salt Glow Scrup was in a similar jar with a white top that was very easy to open and close in the shower. I have had some experiences with being unable to open bath scrub in the shower, and let me tell you, it's very frustrating! I'm so glad that I don't have to worry about that with the scrub from Maryam's Soap Nook.
The Exfoliating Body Wash with Kukui Nut Oil and Jojoba Beads were in clear, recyclable bottle, that I think is very pretty, and the Bath, Shower, and Massage oil came in an 8 oz dark green recyclable plastic bottle with a silver lid
The Maryam's Soap Nook's Luxury Body Mist that I recieved came in a 2 oz cobalt blue (I think) bottle, that will be the perfect size for a purse. This isn't supposed to be the product review page, but when I put this on I couldn't stop sniffing my wrists all day long!
Maryam's Handmade Soap comes in a cute little jewelry type box - it's white with a clear plastic covering, and it really allows you to see the beautiful designs that are in the soap. I love the little fish that are in the Ocean Spray soap! In addition to the fish, there are sqare, rectangular, and a variety of other shaped soap pieces embedded in the soap. I think this really ads to the presentation of the soap, and makes it look at lot fancier - and more fun, in the case of the fish shaped pieces.
Each of the products came with a label that not only included the website url, and a phone number, it also came with the name and scent of the product, and the description from the website - including the ingredients. That way if you ever forget what you ordered you can quickly reorder the right product, or if you have guests or friends with allergies they can check and make sure they are not allergic to the ingredients in the products in your bathroom before they use them (except for the soap - it might be difficult to keep the label on that). And of course it also makes it a lot easier to tell your friends where they can get Maryam's products after they try them and fall in love with them.
About Maryam's Soap Nook
Ok, now for a little history - Maryam's Soap Nook was established in 1999 after the birth of Maryam's daugher Sarah (Hey! She has good taste in names, that's my name too).
Maryam has shown a dedication to all natural and handmade products, by using only handmade products on Sarah since she was born!
That really impresses me because I can't imagine how hard that must be - especially if you're the one making the products, and taking care of the baby.
